Bespoke Wedding Dresses in Sussex

Made to Measure

Custom Made Wedding Dresses

As an experienced designer and dressmaker, I can guide you through the process of turning your vision and ideas into your final unique custom made dress. From the initial design sketches and fabric selection through to the creation of the dress we will work together through every stage.  Throughout your time spent with me, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to have as little or as much input as you like.

As a bride you should feel amazing and comfortable on your wedding day. My aim is to help make sure your bespoke experience is exciting, stress free and enjoyable.

I am based in Billingshurst, West Sussex, and work with brides from Crawley, Worthing and Horsham to Chichester and up to Guildford and Dorking in Surrey including all surrounding areas.

The Process

Free Consultation

This is an opportunity for us to meet and discuss your wedding dress ideas, so I can get an idea of the look and feel you are going for. I have a wide range of beautiful fabric and lace samples to help inspire and will be able to give you details on pricing.

Free Design & Quote

Using all the information gathered at our meeting, I will create a few design options and email them to you along with a quote for your bespoke dress. Once you have confirmed you would like to go ahead, I will invite you back to finalise the design and take a set of measurements. This would preferably be no less than 3 months before your wedding date.

Toile

Once I have created the paper pattern for you dress design, I will make a cotton mock up of the basic silhouette of your dress. During the toile fitting I can make adjustments to ensure a perfect fit and we can discuss any changes to the design.

Creation

This is the creation of your actual dress. I like to do fittings in stages so that you are able to see the dress coming together and are able to have an input and make any changes along the way if needed. These stages are also a good point to finalise any finishings like buttons or adding a bespoke veil.

FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much does a bespoke wedding dress cost?

Prices vary depending on design and fabric selection from £250 to £3000+. Once I have an understanding of the kind of dress you would like, I can give you a more accurate estimate.

What if I don’t know what I want?

This isn’t uncommon, but I find that once we start discussing your likes and dislikes, ideas and designs begin to emerge naturally. There is no pressure to make final decisions in the early stages.

What if I plan to lose weight leading up to my wedding?

This can certainly be taken in to consideration throughout the process and the dress can be altered at various stages leading right up to the day.
